Have you ever wanted Excel to color code cells automatically based on the cells’ data?
Guess what??? Excel does color code cells automatically for you with a function called Conditional Formatting found on the Home tab.
There are several options to choose from or you can create your own Conditional Formatting rules.
Examples are: Dates – today, this week, last week, this month and the choices go on.
Numbers have all kinds of different formatting options: Top 10, Bottom 10, Percentages, Averages, Duplicate Values, and more.
You can even Conditional Format cells based on Text. Cells that contain a specific word can be highlighted for you.
