Collections: How to Record Your Items

You’ve got an amazing collection, but do you know what’s in it? Or what it’s worth? Can you quickly find the one item out of thousands? What about grouping items quickly to know what you have?

For example: You have a baseball card collection with 33,702 items. Could you quickly find all the Nolan Ryan cards? What about the 1991 Minnesota Twins cards? Or can you find all the pitchers in a specific year for a particular team? Can you rapidly determine which cards are rookie cards? Or verify if you own one specific card?

Watch the video to see why you want to use an Excel Table to record your information and how you can quickly manipulate the table to find what you want.

To learn more watch for the next video on collections to see how Pivot Tables are game changers.
